Day 1 ~ Guwahati
Arrive at Guwahati Airport. On arrival you will be received by our representative at the airport offering a warm welcome in traditional Assamese style. From the Airport drive to the Holy Kamakhya Temple. Dedicated to the reverend Goddess of Maa Kamakhya, the Kamakhya Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India and the most revered shrine in North East India famous for its cult of Tantric practices in the early era. Check in to your Hotel in Guwahati city. In the evening we will visit the Srimanta Kalakshetra at Guwahati city which details the History and Culture of the State of Assam.

Day 2 ~ Guwahati – Sonapur – Kaziranga National Park
After Breakfast we will proceed to Sonapur to visit the Treasured Wheels Museum that has on display vintage Cars and Motorbikes from the Era of World War II. Later we will depart to the Kaziranga National Park. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Kaziranga National Park is home to the highest population of the Endangered Indian One Horned Rhinoceros species anywhere in the world. On arrival at Kaziranga National Park check into a Comfortable hotel/Guest House. Visit the nearby tea gardens of Kaziranga in the late afternoon. Later in the day visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park at Kaziranga National Park. The Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park is the Largest Orchid Park in India. Evening Bonfire and cultural performances (Bihu Dance of Assam) on request. Enjoy the silent evening at Kaziranga National Park.

Day 3 ~ Kaziranga National Park – Kaziranga Orchid Park ~Â Majuli Island
Early morning go for an Elephant Safari into the Park interiors from the Bagodi Safari range of Kaziranga to sight the pride of Assam – the Indian One Horned Rhino species at Kaziranga National Park. Later in the day go for a thrilling Jeep Safari into the Kaziranga National Park to sight the other varied fauna of Kaziranga National Park from the Bagodi/Kohora Safari Range at the National Park. Later depart to Majuli Island. Night halt at a comfortable Resort/Homestay at Majuli Island. At Majuli we will visit the Uttar Kamalabari Satra to witness one of the classical dance forms of India – the Sattriya Nritya practiced only my the male members of the Sattra.

Day 4 ~Â Majuli Island
Today we visit the Satras (Assamese Monasteries) and learn about the Neo Vaishnavite culture that is practiced by the monks. Explore the mysteries of the Largest River Island in the World also learn about the lost art of Mask making. Spend time spotting rare birds and fishing. Spend the later part of the day at Majuli with the local people learning about their traditional arts & crafts. Spend time Bird-watching and at leisure. Evening, spend time savoring the locally brewed ‘Apong’ and other servings prepared by the locally by the Bonfire.

Day 5 ~ Majuli Island – Jorhat
After Breakfast depart to Jorhat. Visit the ‘Dhekiakhowa Bornamghar – home to the oldest burning oil lamp in the world’ and the Lachit Maidam. Lachit Borphukan was the bravest General of the Ahom Army. The best cadre from NDA gets awarded with the Lachit Borphukan title honor. In the evening visit the Silk Showroom at Jorhat to buy a memoir of the Grandeur of the Silks of Assam. Night halt at Jorhat.

Day 6 ~ Sivasagar and Depart from Dibrugarh Airport
After breakfast depart to Sivasagar – the land of the Mighty Ahom Kings. Admire the Engineering marvels of the ‘Talatal Ghar’ and the ‘Rang Ghar’ at Sibasagar. We will drop you at the Dibrugarh Airport for your onward destination. Trip Ends. Bid Adieu!
